Part 2: Delegates attend a 1-day classroom-based workshop

• Epilepsy Recognition and treatment
• Diabetes Recognition and treatment
• Asthma (including respiratory system)Recognition and treatment
• Hyperventilation Recognition and treatment 25mins
• Burns and scalds (including electrical and chemical burns) Recognition and treatment
• Eye injuries Recognition and treatment
• Poisons Recognition and treatment
• Anaphylaxis Recognition and treatment
• Chest injuries Recognition and treatment
• Heart conditions Recognition and treatment of angina and heart attack
• Stroke Recognition and treatment
• Fractures, dislocations, sprains and strains Recognition and treatment
• Spinal injuries Recognition and treatment

PART 2  - 1-day classroom-based workshop to complete First Aid practical’s, recap knowledge taught on part 1-e-learning session and included following topics :

• Unresponsive casualty not breathing normally Demonstration of CPR & AED (primary survey theory covered in pre-learning) CPR & AED learner practice
• Unconscious casualty breathing normally. Recovery position. (inc. seizure management)
• Choking casualty – Practical
• External bleeding Including treatment for shock and bandaging practical
• Minor injuries: Small cuts, grazes, bumps and bruises, small splinters, nosebleeds.
• Factures treatment – slings – Practical (theory covered in pre-learning)
• Head injuries
• Spinal injuries
